The Public Science Events Manager develops, implements, and administers educational public science events that take place on-site at the Bell Museum including, but not limited to, Saturday with a Scientist; festivals; Darwin Day, DNA Day, and other annual science and nature celebratory events; Bell Museum anniversary celebrations; film fests, speakers (local and national); collections tour events; astronomical events; and more.

Public science events are live and in-person experiences held periodically (often monthly, sometimes quarterly or annually) and are often complex in nature, involving multiple collaborators and venues throughout the museum. Creativity, novelty, variety, and fun are words often used to describe public science events, and the Public Science Events Manager embraces and reflects these values along with an entrepreneurial mindset and impeccable organizational and communication skills.
